Let yourself experience the fullness of what is before the familiar obscures its Life.
In this spaciousness lives the New, where precise attention breaks language open and words become roads to the Living Truth emerging through You.
My Approach: A Synthesis of Four Practices
My work integrates four distinct but interwoven practices. Each is designed to build a specific capacity for living with greater depth, clarity, and connection.
1. A Clearing for Truth: The Grace of Compassionate Attention
This is the foundational skill of creating inner space. Through guided meditations and somatic exercises, we train the "muscle" of awareness to establish a state of calm, non-judgmental observation. The purpose of this space is profound: it allows you to see yourself truly and clearly, outside of the binding habits, automatic stories, and old mental models that often run on autopilot. It is the practice of finding freedom from your conditioning so you can choose your response to life.
2. The Immanent Sacred: Discovering Wonder in a Far-From-Equilibrium Universe
My work is animated by the fundamental questions of emergence: how does life arise, how does order create itself, and how do entirely new properties manifest in the universe? This inquiry reveals a world that is inherently creative and self-organizing, offering a deeply resonant, secular spirituality grounded in the sciences of complexity and evolution. This perspective invites us to see ourselves not as static projects to be optimized, but as unique, living ecosystems—contexts through which life continues to complexify and express itself. Growth, therefore, becomes less about forceful striving toward a single goal and more about skillfully creating the conditions for a more integrated and coherent self to naturally emerge.
3. The Discipline and Art of Objective Introspection
While personality types and conceptual frameworks can be useful starting points, this practice is about what comes next. It is the art of letting your direct experience become so precise that it breaks old language and forges the new. This is the creative counterpart to the spaciousness cultivated in Deep Attention. Once that inner space is established, you can perceive what is authentically emerging through you: your core values, passions, and interests wanting to relate to the world in a certain way. This constructive practice is about giving form to that emergent truth, allowing you to create and express yourself in a way that is alive and wholly your own.
4. Embodied Ecological Interdependence: Deep Nature Connection
This practice cultivates a lived sense of interdependence through empathy and inter-species awareness. It involves intentionally shifting perspective to include the well-being of other species and the health of the local ecosystem within your own sphere of concern. By learning to pay attention to the more-than-human world, we deepen our connection to place and to life itself. This ecological awareness forms the ethical and relational background for almost all of my meditations and courses.
